Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) is an alkaline flux, active at low to high temperatures. It has a low coefficient of expansion and may cause shivering in excess. It produces a mechanically soft glaze, matt crystalline surfaces. Will deflocculate glazes and cause them to settle in the bucket. Produces typical alkaline colors: turquoise with copper; plum with Manganese; yellow‐green with Chromium and ultramarine blues with Cobalt.
